Eva Sheie (00:04):
Welcome to the podcast, Where Before Meets After. Submit your questions for our experts at wherebeforemeetsafter.com. I'm your host, Eva Sheie.

Dr. Desai (00:15):
My name is Urmen Desai. I am a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, California.

Eva Sheie (00:21):
What brand of breast implants do you prefer and does it matter?

Dr. Desai (00:25):
I think it's more about the surgeon that matters and safety. The most important is the frequency that the doctor does the surgery, going back to the 10,000 hours. You don't want to go to a doctor that's doing one breast augmentation every month. He or she may be board certified, Harvard educated, in Beverly Hills, but if they're doing one a month, then it's better to go to the person in South Dakota that's doing a hundred a month. So I think it's the frequency is the most important. There's some little variation between the three different companies now, soon to be a fourth company in the market, but I think they're all decent.

Eva Sheie (01:05):
They are. They wouldn't be here if they weren't.

Dr. Desai (01:07):
Exactly. And what I love is the employees for each company, they're all very cordial, they're all respectful. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. They're all very nice people. They all have good warranties, which is the most important.

Eva Sheie (01:21):
Well, and a lot of practices use all of them.

Dr. Desai (01:23):
You're right. You're right.

Eva Sheie (01:26):
Just depends on the patient.

Dr. Desai (01:28):
Yeah.

Eva Sheie (01:29):
Where can we find you on Instagram?

Dr. Desai (01:32):
My Instagram handle is @DesaiPlasticSurgery, D-E-S-A-I. Plastic surgery. That's where you can see most of my work and get in touch with me, slide into the dms. Come visit Beverly Hills, California.

Urmen Desai, MD

Plastic Surgeon in Beverly Hills, California

Dr. Urmen Desai loves what he does so much that it doesn’t feel like a job. As a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon having helped thousands of women, he has a next-level understanding of breast augmentation. With his Instagram, he gives patients an unfiltered, authentic look into his practice and his life.

Back when he was a resident, he would watch Dr. 90210 in his Rhode Island apartment and realized practicing in Los Angeles was his dream. After his residency, he left the cold and snow of Boston to spend a year as a fellow with Dr. Richard Ellenbogen from Dr. 90210, where fell in love with Los Angeles and never looked back.
